The Song:

The Song opens in 1979 with the beginning of a journey for Jack Conti, a soon to be retired Air Force Public Relations officer. Jack is following a thread about the Mayan Calendar and leaves his family and disappears for over thirty years in his pursuit of answers about this ancient Mayan civilization. Jack’s daughter, Sarina, wakes in a start from a dream in the early morning of the Winter Solstice in 2012. Moments later, Sarina receives a call from detective Holden and learns that her sister has been found murdered and left on the steps of a Catholic church in the heart of San Francisco. Sarina does not remember that she and Detective Holden had met thirty years earlier in her small town in Idaho when she was sixteen years old. Sarina now works as a research editor for Earth Base Publishing Co. in San Francisco. She and Detective Riley Holden must work together to solve the mysterious death of Sarina’s sister, Ann, with the help of a mystic named Dana. Dana appears and reveals details about an ancient war lord named Cum-Hau and the plans he has for the Human race. Jack’s disappearance and Ann’s death are clues to this mystery. Dana guides Sarina and the detective through a maze in the spirit world where they must ultimately confront Cum-Hau and attempt to prevent his plan form materializing. Sarina and Riley learn about the origins of the human race from the mystic, Dana, and through their own development together as a couple. Will Cum-Hau be stopped? Will the human race change direction from spiraling down towards self-destruction?  Can Earth be saved by a mass human consciousness awakening? Where DID we humans come from? The Song weaves the mysteries of the universe together in a fascinating story about murder and intrigue, love and commitment, life and death and hope for a new beginning.
